GALLERIA DALLAS AND JUNIOR LEAGUE CELEBRATE ‘DEVOTION TO DALLAS’
Junior League of Dallas marks 100th year of service with display illustrating its impact on the city

The Junior League of Dallas is celebrating its 100th birthday and Galleria Dallas is part of the celebration! The service organization and shopping center are pairing up for an exhibit on the Gallery Wall on level one of the center across from Apple.

The exhibit, Legacy of Leadership, Devotion to Dallas, features a photo album of memories from the 100-year history, including Junior League of Dallas members feeding the hungry during the Great Depression, helping our soldiers in World War II, granting money to Children’s Medical Center’s Neurology Center and awarding Women LEAD (Learn, Excel, Achieve, Dream) scholarships to female DISD students.

The Gallery Wall also features the Dallas skyline with callouts to signature initiatives spearheaded by the Junior League of Dallas. These accomplishments include the Sixth Floor Museum, Dallas Arts District, and the Juanita J. Craft Civil Rights House, the rehabilitation of which is the Junior League of Dallas’ centennial project. Finally, the exhibit displays the names of an estimated 200 organizations the Junior League of Dallas has partnered with..

“The service the Junior League of Dallas has provided the city over the past 100 years is truly extraordinary, and seeing the exhibit really makes that clear,” said Galleria Dallas Director of Marketing Megan Townsend. “We’re happy to celebrate this anniversary with the Junior League of Dallas and are excited to share its history with our guests.”

Junior League of Dallas President Christa Sanford added, “We’re grateful to Galleria Dallas for this partnership and thrilled to spread Junior League of Dallas’ mission to people who may not know what we represent. As the region’s leading organization for developing the potential of women through trained voluntarism, we couldn’t be prouder of our centennial anniversary and this look back at all we have achieved.”

The exhibit at Galleria Dallas will be featured from April 1-28, 2022.
