Mayor’s Back to School Fair

Mayor’s Back to School Fair

The Junior League of Dallas believes that every child deserves a strong start to the school year. The Mayor’s Back to School Fair helps make this possible by providing Dallas students and their families with essential school supplies, health services, and community resources, all in one welcoming event.

A successful start to school can set the tone for a child’s entire academic year. By helping families access the tools and resources they need, we reduce barriers to learning and help children feel confident and ready to learn. The fair supports Dallas families by:

  • Providing free school supplies and backpacks to students.
  • Offering health screenings and important wellness information.
  • Connecting families with community programs and services that support educational success.

Since its beginning, the Mayor’s Back to School Fair has helped countless families prepare for a successful year. The Junior League of Dallas partners with the City of Dallas Mayor’s Office to support this annual fair. Our members help manage volunteers, generate broad community awareness, and create a positive, seamless experience for thousands of families preparing for a new school year.  We are proud to be part of this important tradition that strengthens our city and supports future generations.

Preparing students. Supporting families. Strengthening Dallas, one backpack at a time.
