Grants for Innovative Teaching
Grants for Innovative Teaching (GFIT) helps improve education in the Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD) with grants for unique programs outside school budgets. All Dallas ISD educators are eligible to apply for funding up to $2,500 for innovative teaching projects for all grade levels and subjects.
The 2026-2027 GFIT Application opens February 16 and closes on April 20, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Timeline
- February 16, 2026 – Grant applications open
- April 20, 2026 – Grant applications close
- Late July – Applicants notified of selection
- Mid-August – Grants Released
- September – Grant Awards Ceremony
